Coco is a love letter to the artistry of couture textiles and the women who understood that true luxury begins with fabric. Inspired by the legendary woven tweeds and richly layered bouclé textiles associated with the great Parisian couture houses, the collection celebrates texture as both structure and ornament. Its intricate composition evokes handwoven yarns, embroidered ribbons, and the imperfect beauty that only master craftsmanship can achieve.

The design is deeply personal to Nicolette Mayer. As a child, she traveled to Paris with her grandmother—a celebrated shoe designer and passionate collector whose love of haute couture, art, and extraordinary craftsmanship left an indelible mark. Those larger-than-life adventures through the ateliers, salons, and grand boutiques of Paris became an education in beauty, color, and fearless creativity. Coco captures the spirit of those memories while reimagining them through a distinctly contemporary lens.

Rather than imitating traditional tweed, Coco abstracts its essence into a richly layered tapestry of woven texture, fractured color, and painterly movement. Threads appear to overlap, dissolve, and reemerge like handwoven yarns viewed through light and shadow. Flecks of vibrant color are woven throughout the composition, creating remarkable depth and subtle complexity. The result feels simultaneously architectural and artisanal—soft enough to function as texture, yet visually rich enough to become the focal point of a room.

The palette moves effortlessly between sophisticated neutrals and exuberant fashion colors. Delicate blushes, powder blues, soft celadons, lavender grays, warm ivories, and sparkling jewel tones mingle within the weave, creating the illusion of countless individual fibers layered together by hand. Every colorway reveals new discoveries the longer it is viewed, much like examining a couture jacket woven from dozens of subtly different yarns.

Despite its couture inspiration, Coco feels remarkably modern. Its abstract composition allows it to complement contemporary architecture, hospitality interiors, luxury residences, boutique hotels, and sophisticated commercial spaces without becoming overtly decorative. The pattern offers all the richness of a handcrafted textile while maintaining the clean versatility demanded by today’s interiors.

There is an unmistakable Parisian sensibility woven throughout the collection—a balance of restraint and exuberance, elegance and spontaneity. Like the finest couture fabrics, Coco possesses an effortless sophistication that never feels forced. It reflects the timeless belief that texture, craftsmanship, and impeccable color will always outlast trends.

The overall effect is luxurious, layered, and endlessly refined—a modern interpretation of woven couture that transforms walls into richly textured works of art. Coco celebrates the enduring beauty of handcrafted textiles, the glamour of Parisian fashion, and the personal memories that continue to inspire the Nicolette Mayer Collection.
