Since the early 17th century the almost 60 centimeter high vase has a rounded exaggerated belly and a gracefully slim neck with a mouth at the top. The vase has an exotic shape and is used for long flowers such as amaryllis or summer lilies. The peacock is central in this decoration. Birds are a recurring decoration for a delftware painter and birds and flowers still inspire designers worldwide.
