Based on Édouard Müller’s iconic (1823-1876) Jules Desfossé presentation for the 1855 Universal Exposition, itself a remake based on Pandora Shameless", a famous marble sculpture rediscovered in Belgium from hundreds of years before, we have created a modern esthetic based on this marvelous piece of history. Jardin Defosse is anchored by an enchanting redux of “Shameless Pandora” from the 19th Century French wallpaper lost in time, created by Jules Defosse…and now recreated and restyled, turned on its head… always a signature style component of the Nicolette Mayer Collection. If a work of art is redux, it is brought back, restored and recreated in a new way.
